Clam Packs
Clam packs provide another way of displaying goods for retail. Although suited for smaller components, clam packs can be used for slightly larger components or more products per packaging unit than blisters. Suitable products include stationery and writing instruments, cosmetics, batteries, small home improvement, and spare parts. Although, this method can be more costly than a blister, it is more environment friendly as both parts of the packaging can be separated.
The method of clam packaging uses a clear plastic pack that folds over an insert. The insert can be card or even 100gsm paper printed on both sides if desired. The clear plastic gives visibility to the product and to the insert, which allows you to promote the product. A bar code is usually printed on the insert for Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS). If required, a euro slot can be cut into the top of the plastic pack for hanging on display.
